A lot of oohs and aahs were heard last week as students observed and worked with live beetles noting their structures and how these help them survive. Here are a few pictures of our time with these lovely creatures! Unfortunately they weren't the most cooperative subjects!

Graphing Project
You may have heard that the students will be working on a graphing project in which they will be recording their time spent using both i-pads and computers at home. They will be using a google spread sheet to create graphs so they can reflect upon the time they spend using educational, noneducational or mixed computer games and activities. They will be doing this for the remaining weeks of school and are encouraged to continue recording their time over the summer months. We will be using this information at the beginning of next year when we discuss our technology policies and digital citizenship. This will also provide the students with the opportunity to reflect on the amount of time they are using technology. Parents please encourage your child to share this document with you and work on this project as a family.
A few dates to keep in mind:
- Our annual Writer's Cafe is tentatively scheduled for June 8th from 10:00 -11:00. You won't want to miss this special event so be sure to mark your calendar.
Have a great weekend,
Theresa
